Crestwood United Methodist Church

Our Mission Statement

As a body of believers under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, in order to advance the kingdom of God, Crestwood UMC exists to seek and invite new persons into our fellowship and ultimately the Christian faith, to lead persons to salvation in Jesus Christ, to equip and nurture one another and to serve our community and the world.

Our Vision Statement

At Crestwood UMC we are called to follow a generous and compassionate God into a diverse world.

Worship with us at our 9:01 am contemporary service and our 11 am traditional service each Sunday. We have coffee and fellowship in our many Sunday School classes at 10 am. Join us on Wednesdays during the school year for our GAFFA (Growth and Fellowship for All) program, beginning at 5:30 pm with a meal, followed by adult and children's studies, choirs, and other programming.

What's Next at CUMC?

Upward Games begin at 8:30 AM Saturdays!

Our next Bicentennial Celebration event will be a special service on Saturday, March 24th at Floydsburg Cemetery (Duncan Memorial Chapel in case of rain) at 9 AM. Then, we will head back to the church campus in one of two ways – either taking part in a Heritage Walk, or via your own transportation, where we will have a dedication of a beautiful iron cross created in honor of our anniversary. We will also be burying a time capsule, and there will be an opportunity for family photos. Then, on Sunday, March 25th at 10:30 AM (one service) we will have Wes Olds as our guest preacher, followed by a church-wide potluck celebration lunch. Save the date! The actual anniversary date of the church, which began as Floydsburg Methodist, is March 24th, marking the date on which the Boulware family deeded the first acre of land to the congregation.
